Training Traditional Birth Attendants (TBA) and distributing birthing kits. TBAS can be trained in groups of 10 in health, hygiene, nutrition, vaccinations, HIV/Aids, how to use a birthing kit, what to use if a birthing kit is not available, how to recognise danger signs in childbirth and refer the patient to the hospital. It costs $150 to train 10 TBAS at a 2 day seminar. Education is everything.
